Letter of Medical Necessity
Many HSA/FSA cards will work at checkout without additional documentation. If your card is declined, your provider may require a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN). Send the template below to your doctor. It includes both your request and a ready-to-sign letter they can return.

I am requesting a Letter of Medical Necessity for Available Health Pro (https://available.health), a HIPAA-compliant personal health management application. I use it to securely store and manage my health records and to consult an AI health assistant about my medical conditions, medications, and lab results.
My HSA/FSA administrator requires an LMN to approve this as a qualified medical expense. Could you provide a signed letter on your practice letterhead confirming that this service is medically necessary for the management of my health conditions? A template is included below for your convenience.

HSA/FSA Questions
You can request reimbursement from your HSA/FSA provider. Download your App Store receipt from Apple (Settings > Apple ID > Purchase History), then submit it along with a description of the service to your HSA/FSA administrator. Going forward, consider switching to a web subscription to pay directly with your HSA/FSA card.
Web checkout lets you pay directly with your HSA/FSA card. App Store purchases go through Apple and can't be charged directly to HSA/FSA, so you'd need to request reimbursement separately.
